by GT Staff | Ohio State Buckeyes at Southern California Trojans –5½
Okay, okay, the game isn’t scheduled until Sept. 13, but the points are just too juicy to ignore. The game is part of the Hilton’s recently-released College Football Games of the Year and, even though USC has a phenomenal straight-up home record, this game sets up perfectly for the Buckeyes. First, ‘SC isn’t as strong as last year’s squad; they lost too many players to the NFL. And Ohio State, coming off the last two BCS title games, fields its best team in the last few years. You won’t see Ohio State as a dog again this season, unless they meet up with Florida in the BCS championship game, where they might even be a pick. For now, Ohio State gets off to a big start on a potential championship season. Ohio State +5½ points.
