On The Mark by Mark Mayer | It sure didnt take the betting public long to pounce on a bargain opening line.

Two weeks ago, the Golden Nugget downtown issued its 59 "College Football Games of the Year." Last week the Las Vegas Hilton SuperBook came out with its annual list that totals 91. There were 35 common games with no line standing out more than the Sept. 13 matchup in South Bend between Notre Dame and Michigan.

For a short time at the Nugget, Michigan was a 3-point favorite. Now its Notre Dame favored by 3, supported by the 3 for the Irish at the Hilton.

Still, there are 34 other games to find differences large enough from a betting perspective to examine which team and book to side with.

Here are some of the very best opportunities, while they last.

Saturday, Sept. 6

Miami, FL at Florida (1-point difference): If you like Miami, its +20 at the Nugget. For those on the Gators its -18.

Friday, Sept. 12

Kansas at USF (1-point difference): Theres much love for South Florida at both books. The Hilton has the Bulls at -6. The Nugget has the line at -5. Kansas at 11-1 ATS led the nation last year in covering spreads.

Saturday, Sept. 13

Ohio St at USC (1-point difference): You can get the visiting Buckeyes at +5 at the Hilton lists USC. If you like the Trojans, the spread is only -4 at the Nugget.

Saturday, Oct. 4

Missouri at Nebraska (3-point difference): A few years ago, Nebraska would never be a home underdog except maybe Oklahoma. No more. Missouri is -5 at the Hilton and all the way up to -8 at the Nugget. Huskers fans at Skinny Dugans must be outraged!

Saturday, Oct. 11

LSU at Florida (1-point difference): We mentioned in a previous article how the Nugget loves Florida. The Gators are -10 over the defending national champion Tigers. The Hilton has UF at -8.

Saturday, Oct. 18

Kansas at Oklahoma (2-point difference): Yes, Kansas again. This time the Jayhawks are getting 15 at the Hilton. The Nugget has KU a 13-point underdog in Norman.

Saturday, Oct. 25

Georgia at LSU (3-point difference): Now this is a large 3. The Nugget has Georgia favored -2. The Hilton lists the Tigers as a 1-point favorite.

Saturday, Nov. 8

Clemson at FSU (1-point difference): The annual Bowden Bowl always gets plenty of hype. The Nugget is your book if you like Clemson. There, the Tigers are a 1-point road favorite. At the Hilton, the host Seminoles are a 2-point underdog.

Thursday, Nov. 13

VT at Miami, FL (2-point difference): A role-reversal in the spread. Virginia Tech is a 5-point road favorite at the Nugget. The Hilton has it at -3.

Saturday, Nov. 22

Michigan at Ohio St (1-point difference): Hard to believe Michigan would be a 16-point underdog to anyone, but thats the Nugget line this day. At the Hilton, its -14. Still, a huge spot for the Buckeyes.

Thursday, Nov. 27

Texas A&M at Texas (1-point difference): Enjoy your Thanksgiving with this possible turkey spread. A&M is getting 15 at the Hilton, 13 at the Nugget. If you like revenge motive, this is your game. A&M upset Texas last year , 38-30.

Saturday, Nov. 29

Ga Tech at Georgia (3-point difference): The Dawgs could be thinking ahead to the SEC title game. If so, the visiting Yellow Jackets are -17 at the Nugget, -14 at the Hilton.
