Nationals -115 vs Reds (9)

Not exactly a thrilling matchup, but a winning bet cashes just the same. The host Nationals just ended a nine-game losing streak with a 5-2 win last night over Cincinnati. Washington is an awful 2-13 with Jason Bergmann on the hill, but much of the failure has been due to an anemic offense that has scored just 25 runs in his last 13 starts. Six times Washington was held to one run or less. Sounds like the Dodgers.

Yet, the Nationals are favored. Well, the Reds are no great shakes of late either. Cincy is 1-6 in its last seven and just shipped Ken Griffey Jr to the Chicago White Sox. Team morale cant be very high and neither is Josh Fogg off a brutal 11-0 loss to Colorado and Ubaldo Jimenez in his last outing. The Reds are 5-3 with Fogg on the hill, but we think Washington is in the better frame of mind and overdue to give Bergmann some help. NATIONALS.
