by Mark Mayer | The fourth victory of the Sprint Cup season for Carl Edwards, at 7-1 odds at Station Casinos, moved him into third place 188 points behind leader Kyle Busch. Edwards is just nine points in back of second place Dale Earnhardt Jr. Busch finished well back in 36th place, while Earnhardt placed 12th. Tony Stewart had his best result in weeks, finishing second.

Mark Martin, a live 25-1 longshot at Station Casinos, again met with bad luck at Pocono. Martin was in good position for his first-ever win at Pocono until fuel problems relegated him to eighth. It was 31st Top 10 finish in 41 starts at Pocono. He also has 19 Top 5 finishes.

Edwards was one of the five top selections by GamingToday motorsports analyst Micah Roberts, who correctly tabbed Busch as a nonfactor in the race. Roberts also had Denny Hamlin, Jimmie Johnson, Jeff Gordon and Kasey Kahne. Johnson finished third, Kahne seventh and Gordon tenth.

Johnson, who won the Brickyard 400 last week at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, had the fastest qualifying speed. As for Busch, prior to Pocono his average finish on the Sprint Cup circuit was ninth. Of the 62 Pocono races, 45 have been won from a Top 10 starting position. The pole sitter has won 13 times. Neither applied Sunday.

Here are the results of some Pocono props offered at Station Casinos involving teams and car models. The winning prop was the driver with the best finish among the group (listed in bold).
