by GT Staff | Washington Nationals at Milwaukee Brewers (-205, 8 ½): Maybe they should get in each other’s faces a little bit more in the Brewers dugout … Ever since Prince Fielder got all personal with starting pitcher Manny Parra last week, Milwaukee has been on fire, winning four straight into play Sunday.
The poor Nats went 27 straight innings without scoring a run against the BrewCrew before pushing across one run in the sixth inning Sunday at Milwaukee. On the mound for Washington tonight is Garrett Mock (0-2, 5.27 ERA), a right-hander called up from AAA Columbus to spot start for the injured Elijah Dukes.
Getting the ball for the Brewers is Dave Bush (6-9), a righty who retired 17 straight batters in his last outing, a win on the road. Although he doesn’t have the cache of a CC Sabathia, Ben Sheets or even a Manny Parra, Bush is a solid pitcher and worth backing in this final game of this four-game series.
With a mark of 21-40 on the road, the Nats are the worst in all of MLB away from home. What to do? Back the Crew who are still chasing the Cubs in the NL Central. BREWERS.
