A June decline in Nevada's gaming win

by Ray Poirier | Nevada’s gambling licensees reported a total gaming win of $949.3 million for the month of June, representing a 1.1% decline from the $960 million reported in June of 2007.

On the Las Vegas Strip, casinos reported a 3% decline to $486.4 million.

Improvement was seen in the so-called "locals" casinos that were up by 14% and in downtown Las Vegas properties that showed an increase of 10%.

The state’s share of taxable revenues increased by 8.4% to $52.1 million.
