Horse Racing Betting Tips by Richard Saber |

Friday, August 15 results

At Del Mar we had a good start in the early double as Rosario won the first race again and paid $22.40 but our single in race two ran a lack luster fourth. We lost race three but had a small winner in race four hitting a little exacta and the Q. We hit a small Q in race six but lost money. We did hit a little double for race five to race six as our key horse in race six won. We had the winner in race seven but could not get the second horse and our late pick three went down when we got beat a nose on the wire, I still think our horse won. Our Bay Meadows play went down the tubes just like Bay Meadows will in two days.

Del Mar

Race 1

No. 3, Warrens Highroller, exits our HTW list and looks like a main contender, her main foes will come from No. 1, Paloma’s Flight, and No. 6 Bran Jammas. 1-3-6

Race 2

No. 4, Intermission, is a very live first time starter out of the Carla Gaines barn and Rosario rides. No. 6, Kaptain Kordough, ran big in his one and only here on Aug 3, if he don’t bounce he will be very tough in here. 4-6

Key Play

$2 double

1st 1-3-6

2nd 4-6 for $12

Race 3

No. 8, World War, gets a great post for is first of the Avila claim, he looks the one to beat in here. No. 8

Race 4

No1 Friendly Silk comes back in a good spot for trainer Lobo and the price is right. No. 4 Birdie Birdie had trouble in her first start and now is stretched out. No. 9 Cherryblossommiss will be hard to down if she can handle the grass. 1-4-9

Key Play

$2 double

3rd8

4th 1-4-9 for $6

$2 exacta box 1-4-9 for $12

Race 5

No. 3 Saxophone has been knocking on the door and may have found a field he can beat. No. 8 For the House exits the same race. No. 9 Oldtophatandtails gets the hot jock Rosario in the irons. 3-8-9

Key Play

$2 exacta box 3-8-9 for $12

Race 6

This one needs the all button to be pushed, but we will take a shot with No. 2 G’s Heavenly Union and No. 3 Watsnewpussykat who is owned by Burt Bacharach and is a first time starter trained by Mike Mitchell. Burt will be there for the race and he and his lovely wife love to get their pitcher taken at Del Mar. 2-3

Key Play

$2 Q 2-3 for $2

$10 win and place 3 for $20

Race 7

No. 3 Hiatus comes off a little hiatus but looked good breaking his maiden at this 1 1/16 distance. No. 11 Dakota Phone also looked good when breaking his maiden at this distance on the grass, he will be making a big late run. 3-11

Race 8

No. 1 Storm Mesa has won five straight and looks tough in here. No. 4 Oceane Music won all of her three starts in France and shows up here in the John Shirreffs barn, this one could be live at 15-1. No. 8 Satan’s Circus ran big in the American Oaks just missing by less then a length for trainer Clement. 1-4-8

Key Play

$2 double

7th 3-11

8th 1-4-8 for $12

$2 exacta box 1-4-8 for $12

Race 9

No. 12, Holloman, ran a better then looked race last time out and could pop big time here. No. 2, Elusive Chief, drops trying to cash and No. 3 Bigum will make a late run once again but has lost nineteen times but does have three seconds and eight thirds so he is a must use in the exotics. 2-3-12

Key Play

$1 pick three

7th 3-11

8th 1-4-8

9th 2-3-12 $18

$2 double

8th 1-8

9th 2-3-12 for $12

BAY MEADOWS

Race 9

The late double looks like a good bet, in here we will use 1-2-6 in an exacta box and use all three in the late double. 1-2-6

Key Play

$2 exacta box 1-2-6 for $12

Race 10

This looks like a two horse race between No. 6, Starspell, who loves this track and No. 9, Alottadar. 6-9

Key Play

$2 double

9th 1-2-6

10th 6-9 for $12
