Horse Racing Betting Tips by Richard Saber | Sunday, August 17 results

Our Pick Six went down early as we were only able to come up with the winners in the last two races. We never had a chance at Bay Meadows.

Del Mar

Race 1

No. 6, Queen of Victory, gets a confident boost by trainer O’Neill in this her second start, she looks ready to graduate. No. 6

Race 2

There is a lot of speed in here and that should set it up for dropper No. 3 Smoocher. No. 3

Key Play

$10 double

1st 6

2nd 3 for $10

Race 3

Trainer Bobby Frankel at one time along with trainer Bob Baffert owned this Del Mar track but those days are long gone as Mr. F is still looking for win #1 at the meet, he could get it in this race with No. 2 Hidden Trail as he adds the blinkers for start #2. No. 6 Evaluate has lost ten straight but has four seconds and three thirds, this 5yo may finally get the maiden breaker on the stretch out today in his third start off the layoff for Baffert. The lightly raced Isle of Giants tries the main after two failed route attempts but he horse that he lost to in his last start came back and won big time on Saturday. 2-4-5

Key Play

$2 Exacta Box 2-4-5 for $12

$4 Pick Three

1st 6

2nd 3

3rd 2-4-5 for $12

Race 4

No. 4, Gold Trim, exits our HTW list, he looks one two in this spot. No. 1 Tap It Light exits the same race. 1-4

Key Play

$10 Q 1-4 for $10

$20 win 4 for $20

Race 5

In here No. 3, Vulcan, looks like a short priced winner, I just wish Spock was here so we could ask him, we will single in the late Pick Four. NO.3

Race 6

Tommy Town had a solid entry in here but scratched the 1A My House My Rules and that leaves No. 1, Atlantra’s Tantrum, who gets a huge rider upgrade, he is the one to beat. Sneaky trainer Wesley Ward has two in here, Calder shipper No. 3 R Brown Sugar and No. 6, Boot Cut. No. 5, Lightning Diablo, has run three good races in a row for O’Neill and No. 8, Dashwood, exits our HTW list and is 15/1 in the morning line. No. 4 Upper Manhattan gets the bug boy and blinkers. 1*-3-4-5-6-8 (all)

Race 7

No. 1, Delta Strom, will be very tough in this 5f turf sprint. No. 2, Easy on The Eyes, and No. 4, My City by the Bay exit the same high-rated affair. 1-2-4

Key Play

$20 Q 1 with 2-4 for $40

Race 8

No. 4, If Not for You, is a $$$ HTW and looks very live in here. No. 5, Flashing Forward, had her race over the track and now drops trying to cash. No. 7, Blues Singer, is a girl that has been working with a purpose. These are the main three but as you know many things happen in the last race at Del Mar. The others with a chance are No. 1 Desert Siren who gets off the vets list for her second lifetime start. No. 2 Summersgoldengirl ran good in her one start here. 4*-5*-7*/ 1-2
