DE CAR GUY: Was very eager as he broke through the gate before the start. When the gate opened he was slow and next to last. He then was taken four wide on the turn and into the stretch, but came flying late to just miss the whole ball of marbles by less than two lengths in a big effort.

TOMMYS LUCK: Just did not understand the drop in this spot, but maybe his trainer was playing a little poker in this spot. Tommy made a wide run and stormed home winning by more than five lengths while under a hand ride. If the trainer was gambling on no claim she got fooled. Jeff Mullins put up the cash for super owner Bob Bone. Look for the move up and another score. $$$

VANALDI: Exits the same race as the aforementioned Tommys Luck. This guy was breaking from the No. 1 post and got a bad trip. Look for him to get the maiden breaker next time with an outside post.

WARREN’S DREAMING: Really looked good in this spot, but was far back early and just had way too much ground to make up in the lane. Maybe next time, if he can lay a little closer to the pace.

WILD WILD POSSE: First-time starter out of the Doug O’Neill barn ran huge in victory as he got passed in the stretch, but came back on and won going away. If you happened to be watching TVG before the race, O’Neill told the interviewer to just go bet this guy to win. Look for the move up and another score.

STARSTRUCK KRISTEN: Was exiting our HTW list, but got bumped at the start and lost ground. She did come flying late and missed by less than a length. We will put her right back on our list as this girl looks to be a great claim for trainer Knapp. $$$

I WANNA GO FAST: First time starter out of the Art Sherman barn ran a much better then looked race and could pop in start No. 2 at a nice price.

CARMAN: Just loved this guy last time out, but he got squeezed at the start and lost his shot going five furlongs on the grass. Look for him to rebound big time with a clean break.

YEARLY GIFT: Looked to be making a winning move, but was angled in on the turn which proved to be costly. She had to be checked hard off horses heels and after making a late run just missed by less than two lengths. This is a very good claim by trainer Hollendorfer. You should see a big-time rider upgrade. Send it in. $$$

SQUALLCREEK: Win machine shipped over from the fair circuit for trainer Miyadi. He won bigtime here from the inside post and paid a nice $19.60. Don’t know if he will show up in his next start, but this guy is worth following.
