Leroy's adds NFL version to its College Challenge

By GT Staff | For the fourth straight year, Leroy’s will be offering its College Challenge football contest.

There is a guaranteed minimum $100,000 payout in the contest with 1st place taking home a minimum of $30,000 (30% of prize pool). The contest pays out to the first 40 places and returns 100% of entry fees as prize money.

The entry fee is $250 and there is a three entry maximum per person. The deadline for entries is 4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 5. The contest runs 12 weeks (Sept. 6-Nov. 22).

Contestants will pick seven teams from the College Challenge card. Last year, a record 419 contestants entered.

 New this year at Leroy’s is the Pro Challenge, which offers the same payouts and prize structure as the College Challenge with a guaranteed minimum $100,000 payday for the big winner.

In this new offering for NFL fans, contestants will pick five teams from the Pro Challenge card, which will include point spreads and totals.

The entry fee is also $250 (maximum three entries) and the contest runs 17 weeks from Sept. 6 through Dec. 29. The deadline is also Friday, Sept. 5 at 4 p.m.

Leroy’s will also be holding its annual Money Talks Invitational, with 16 participants ponying up a $5,000 entry fee in this weekly head-to-head match-up with the winner taking home all of the $80,000 prize money. This contest is expected to take place Friday nights in the Leroy’s Sports Book inside of the Riviera. Last year, Cal Neva Sports Book Director Nick Bogdanovich captured the crown.
