The day starts off with 2yo state bred maiden fillies with just one out of the eight entered having a race. First time starter No. 4 Moon Moment looks live for trainer Craig Dollase and jockey Nakatani has done his best work of late when riding for young Craig. No. 8 Firstthingsfirst is a Barry Abrams first time starter by his top California sire Unusual Heat who has been winning with just about everything that hits the track. You will be assured of a big price as he rides the low profile jock K Stra. 4-8
Top trainer Cerin has had a tough meet but sends out No. 4 High Stakes Silver who ran big time here on July 31 going 1 1/16, he looks to have found a nice spot to notch win #2. No. 6 Lord In Command is a lightly raced Wesley Ward trained 3yo who has ran back to back good races and this flat mile distance looks perfect for him. 4-6
2nd 4-6 for $4
No. 2 Quest Venture and No. 6 Boule d’Or will be out winging on a fast early pace which will set it up for No. 5 Charmo, or Boule d’Or could run Quest into the ground we will use 5-6.
$10 Q 5-6 for $10
More state bred 2yo fillies running for a claiming tag of 40K. Trainer Ward looks to have No. 2 Deb’s Mojo in her easiest spot to date but she has already failed five times but the blinkers come off for this race. No3 Grace Gryder should love the extra half furlong. No. 4 Spanish Bunny is just another Unusual Heat first time starter for Abrams. No. 6 Flash Dance ran super in her one and only and was well bet, she does however switch barns going from the high profile O’Neil barn to the low profile Sean McCarthy barn but Bejarano tags along. No. 7 Lunch Money looks live with Tyler for her first start.

$.10 super box 2-3-4-6-7 for $12
In here we have 2yo fillies running a flat mile on the grass for the first time, this one could light up the tote. No. 3 Coracao Beijo was last seen running 4 ½ furlongs at Calder and now shows up here? No. 4 Dreamalong should love the grass and the longer distance. No. 5 Century Park was sent off at $1.90 in her first start so there must be more there then her last race indicates and Bejarano takes over. No. 6 Kinesioloy gets blinkers added to the equipment and exits a very fast race. 3-4-5-6
$1 tri box 3-4-5-6 for $24
No. 3 Bella Dancer, No. 4 Ms Toomsuba, No. 8 Dana Sisstar and No. 9 Box Office Fever all have high speed and should set a very fast pace, if so No. 7 She Floats who exits our HTW list should run them down, she looks great off the Sadler Claim and his main man Tyler rides again. No. 6 Warren’s Appeal turns back in distance and will be flying late also and is 10/1 in the morning line. 3-4-6*-7**-8-9
$6 Q 7 with 2-4-6-8-9 for $30
$2 Q 6 with 2-4-7-8-9 for $10
$1 tri 7 with 3-4-6 for $6
No. 4 Hyperbaric is 6/5 in the morning line but just don’t look that short. No. 2 Knockout Artist who is 5/1 in the morning line just lost by a neck to Hyperbaric in his last start. No. 5 Vauquelin 10/1 in the morning line looks like a very live longshot in here as he is making his first start since the Del Mar Derby last year. He won a division of the Oceanside on this course last year. Trainer K Walsh hits with .27% of her comebackers. We will play a late pick three using all three and using the 4 as a single on one ticket.
No. 3 Nasty Gent looks to be coming around for trainer Bill Spawr, No. 4 Gato Viejo takes a little drop in class and t hat may be enough to get this one home on top. No. 5 Athenry is a nibbler but has speed and could hang on today. No. 8 Winning Yield drops trying to cash and has run well going a distance of ground in the past, he looks like the one to beat in here. 3-4-5-8*
