HOLY HUMOR: Just ran a bang up second to the highly regarded Vulcan. He was four wide into the first turn and moved up to stalk the pacesetter. After falling back a bit, he re-bid leaving the second turn. This guy looks like a real good single in his next start.

SEANYS COURAGE: Maiden had been looking for a spot and raced in this flat mile. He showed good early foot speed, but just dropped back on the backstretch. Seemed to be making another move, but was steadied off heels in midstretch and lost his momentum. Rallied again late and just did miss the show dough by a nostril. $$$

SMOOCHER: Took the big class drop and just destroyed this bunch with a lot left. There were no claims in for this past classer. If moved back up a little, he will be worth a bet.

QUEEN OF VICTORY: She looked like a good thing in here, but just got bumped all over at the start. She swung out for room into the stretch and closed with a purpose, but lost the bob. Queen was red-tagged for $62,500 by East of the Mississippi trainer Cody Autrey. Be on the lookout as she could show up anywhere. $$$

OYSTER CAT: First-time starter ran huge at 5-1 in what was a very tough field of straight maidens. This guy can flat out run and wont be a maiden for long.

BIGUM: Was 0-19 lifetime coming into this race and had never been on the front end. However, on this day went straight to the front and never looked back to win by more than six lengths. When these long-time losers finally break through, they usually come right back and run big again.

FRIENDLY SILK: Maiden hadnt been seen since running second at Hollywood last December. She took a lot of early cash, but had to steady hard when down on the inside. This girl never did recover, finishing last. She could come back and light it up.

SOUTH COAST: Put in a big effort against North Fork, barely losing by a half- length. Look for him to wire them in next start.

SEVEN LUCKY JS: Was steadied hard when squeezed at the start. He then took back and went to the outside. Remained four wide on the turn and on the outside into the stretch. Despite being way wide, he came back flying only to miss as one of five on the wire. No mistakes for this guy with a clean trip next time out. $$$
