THE INSIDER: Shuffle Master Inc. (SHFL) says more than $89 million in notes were tendered in response to the company’s offer of redemption. More than $60 million in senior notes remain outstanding.

Magna Entertainment Corp. (MECA) has sold some 489 acres of excess real estate in Ocala, Florida, to a pair of developers for $16.5 million.

Canterbury Park Holding Corporation (CPHC) has begun trading on the Nasdaq stock exchange.

Veteran racing official Randy Soth will leave his past as president of Fair Grounds Race Course in New Orleans on Friday. Fair Grounds is owned by Churchill Downs Inc. (CHDN).

Missouri gaming revenue rose 7% in July, reaching $146.9 million. Last year’s total was $136.9 million.

That wasn’t the case in Atlantic City where casino revenues fell 6.6% in July to $438.7 million from last year’s $469.6 million.

Nevada Gold & Casinos Inc. (UWN) has sold its interest in 16 Pizza Hut restaurants in Brazil for $5.5 million.
