Yankee Stadium, New York

Red Sox -155 at Yankees (9½)

When both Richard Saber and Mark Mayer have the same opinion on a "2 For Tuesday" selection, it’s hard to come up with a better play. So here’s more ammo for the key Boston-New York series at Yankee Stadium. The Yanks are in desperate need of a sweep, at worst two wins in order to keep their fleeting AL East Division and Wild Card hopes alive. And there’s no better pitcher over the years in big-game scenarios than Andy Pettitte.

The veteran lefty is 94-39 at Yankee Stadium and owns a 16-7 mark against the Red Sox. Boston counters with knuckleballer Tim Wakefield, who has struggled over the years against New York. Wakefield is just 9-17 against the Yanks and 7-8 overall on the season. The 9½ total is fairly high considering the inordinate amount of under results involving Yankees games this season. You may want to parlay this, but we prefer the side. YANKS.
