We will try and get revenge after starting off the season at 3-4. There are several games this week with revenge in mind so here we go.

Thursday, Sept. 4

S. Carolina -9 at Vandy: Both teams off nice wins, but the Gamecocks have big time revenge in mind after losing at home 17-6 as a 2-TD favorite. S. CAROLINA.

Friday, Sept. 5

Navy +3½ at Ball St: More payback. The Midshipmen got beat by the Cardinals 34-31 in OT last year as a touchdown favorite. NAVY.

Saturday, Sept. 6

N’western -6 at Duke: Even more revenge here. The Wildcats lost 20-14 to Duke as a 16-point home favorite. Revenge is sweet. N’WESTERN.

W.Virginia -10 at ECU: The Pirates were crushed last year by the Mountaineers 48-7 and look to have a legitimate shot at big time revenge. ECU off big win over Virginia Tech and has gone 18-6 ATS in a dog role under head coach Skip Holtz. ECU.

Minn +7 at B. Green: Yes, revenge here too. The Golden Gophers lost 32-31 in OT at home last year. The Green off big win at Pitt and may still be celebrating, MINN.

Ohio +35 at Ohio St: First meeting since 1999. The Buckeyes may be looking ahead to next week’s titanic matchup with USC. Bobcats really hung in last week at Wyoming and just could keep this one within reach. OHIO.

Miami Fla +21 at Florida: Gators have lost four straight to the Hurricanes, but should break that losing streak here. Looks like blowout time. FLORIDA.

San Diego St +20 at ND: Believe it or not, the Irish have not won a Bowl game in 15 years. Off a horrible year, I bet over 7 in total wins and will only need six more after this game. Aztecs lost at home to Cal Poly 29-27. ND.

Kent St +8 at Iowa St: The Golden Flashes beat the Cyclones on their own turf last year 23-14. That’s not good for recruiting. Kent was shut out last week in Cleveland by BC. Iowa State warmed up by beating up on South Dakota State, 44-17. IOWA ST.

UNLV +22 at Utah: This is the biggest revenge game of the week. The Rebels shut out the Utes last year in Vegas 27-0. Utah is off a huge win over Michigan last week but still must side with the revenge factor. UTAH.

FLASH: Steubenville Big Red won 42-12 against Akron Buchtel this past Friday, running their regular season unbeaten streak to 52 straight. They play East Liverpool next week.
