Im closing in on a winning week, but doubt if I can match the 11-1 my cohort Mark Mayer did. I do know a lot of people scored big off his picks. Good job Mark.

Im seeing more revenge games and wins this week...

Saturday, Sept. 13:

Auburn -10 at Miss St: Tigers got beat at home last year 19-14 as a 12- point favorite. The Bulldogs lost their opener to Louisiana Tech and were not very impressive against SE Louisiana. AUBURN.

Arkansas +23 at Texas: Razorbacks were very lucky to beat W. Illinois and just did get by La-Monroe by 1. Texas looks to run it up. TEXAS / OVER.

Michigan PK at ND: What seemed a very good game for NBC now looks like a low-scoring dud. Notre Dame got blanked last year 35-0. If the Irish lose, it could be another long year. ND / UNDER.

Georgia -7 at S. Carolina: Georgia lost at home last year to the Gamecocks 16-12. Also the Bulldogs have gone 25-5 SU on the road since 2001. GEORGIA.

Penn St -26 at Syracuse: JoPa has been beating up on weaklings the last few years. Believe me, the Orange are very weak. PENN ST.

Iowa St +13 at Iowa: Hawkeyes want this in the worst way after losing last year to the 3-9 Cyclones 15-13 as 17-point chalk. IOWA.

Cal -13 at Maryland: The host Terps got 14 to nip Delaware and 14 in a stunning loss to Middle Tennessee. Another 14 wont win or cover. CALIFORNIA.

Temple +6 at Buffalo: Owls all out last week in big revenge game against UConn losing in OT 12-9. Buffalo is 11-5-1 ATS vs the MAC under HC Turner Gill. BUFFALO.

ECU -14 at Tulane: Pirates off two huge efforts as dogs beating Virginia Tech and West Virginia. Now they are the favorite on the road against lowly Tulane. TULANE.

Memphis +3 at Marshall: Tigers have a defense like a sieve giving up 41 to Ole Miss and 42 to Rice. Thundering Herd lost to Memphis by 3 last year. MARSHALL.

Arizona -10 at New. Mexico: Lobos scored 3 vs TCU and 22 against a down Texas A&M. The Wildcats got 70 and 41 in two wins. Plus, they lost to the Lobos last year. ARIZONA.

So Miss +2 at Ark St: The Red Wolves may be for real after beating Texas A&M and then scoring 83 against Texas Southern. More revenge: They lost to USM last year 16-10. ARK ST.

FLASH: Steubenville Big Red romped last week and ran its regular season win streak to 53. A tough one this week as Buffalo St. Joes motors in from upstate New York.
