Football Betting Tip of the Day Royals at Indians 9-12-08

Sep 12, 2008 8:06 PM

by GT Staff | Kansas City Royals at Cleveland Indians (-210, 7o -115): Kansas City sends its best pitcher, Gil Meche (11-10, 3.96 ERA), to the mound in this meaningless game – in terms of the pennant race that is – at Cleveland’s Progressive Field this evening. The right-hander will be making his sixth start against the Tribe this season and is 2-1 against them allowing a scant four earned runs in his last four appearances against Cleveland.

The Indians counter with the best pitcher in baseball in southpaw Cliff Lee. All Lee has done is go 21-2 (2.28 ERA) with an extremely mediocre team. Against the Royals, Mr. Lee is a perfect 4-0 with a 2.15 ERA and he went 7 1/3 solid innings allowing just one earned against them on Sunday.

This game will no doubt be low-scoring as the total indicates, so let‘s play the game UNDER and make an equivalent-sized wager on the homeboys as they simply seem to win every game that Lee starts. INDIANS -210, UNDER 7.
