Steelers -6 at Browns (44)
One week does not make a season, but it can establish a point spread. What easily could have been a pick’em matchup turned substantially toward Pittsburgh after a easy win over Houston last Sunday coupled with Cleveland’s blowout loss at home to Dallas. That defeat sets up almost a must-win situation for the Browns, who could be headed for major problems and a certain QB controversy if falling to 0-2.
The Steelers did look menacing in their demolition of the hurricane-ravaged Texans with QB Big Ben Roethlisberger showing midseason form. Pittsburgh has made a living in recent years against Cleveland by pounding the ball into a suspect interior line. That should be the game plan today, but the bad weather all across the Midwest from Ike could factor in. The old adage is that the underdog is helped by a bad field and we’ll ride that theory along with what should be a fired up Cleveland crowd. BROWNS.
