Little known Florida Marlins pitcher A.J. Burnett will be now thought more highly of by baseball bettors.

Burnett threw Major League Baseball’s second no-hitter of the season, doing it against the San Diego Padres in a 3-0 win Saturday night in San Diego.

Going into the game, closing numbers in Las Vegas sports books were divided. The Mirage had the Marlins favored (—110), while the Hilton had the Padres favored (—110).

Also, the over-under on the game was 8½, as oddsmakers felt it would a low-scoring game. San Diego started pitcher Wascar Serrano, who did not have a decision going into the game.

Burnett, however walked nine batters and hit one. He is now 1-1 on the season
