by Ray Poirier | On the heels of releasing its REELdepth family of games, International Game Technology (IGT) has extended its licensing agreement with the company that pioneered multi-layer display technology for an additional 10 years.

The agreement extension calls for IGT to pay an up-front royalty of $10 million to PureDepth Inc (PDEP).

PureDepth officials noted that the launching of the REELdepth games marks the commercialization of the company’s innovative multi-layer display technology. It also will be used in nearly 70 of IGT’s top-performing games.
