The AFC went from a 5½-point favorite to a 3-point underdog vs the NFC for Super Bowl 43. No, the Dolphins had nothing to do with it.

SMU +16½ at Tulane: (On Thursday. SMU was outscored 91-14 in its last 2. TULANE.

UConn +3 at U of L: Huskies have done all their damage at home. LOUISVILLE.

N’western +8 at Iowa: First time the Wildcats are 4-0 since 1962 and Iowa can be had. N’WESTERN.

Ole Miss +23½ at Florida: The Rebs are No. 1 in heartbreak losses. They won’t be blown out. MISS.

Va Tech +6½ at Nebraska: VT was a dog to UNC and should have been favored. VA TECH.

Tennessee +6 at Auburn: The Tigers finally found an offense vs LSU. Vols get burned. AUBURN.

Maryland +12 at Clemson: The Tigers can’t play South Carolina State every week. MARYLAND.

Purdue +2½ at Notre Dame: Purdue had Oregon beat. Irish shouldn’t be favored. PURDUE.

Kent St +17 at Ball St: If Ball State can stop celebrating Indiana, this one will be easy. BALL ST.

S. Florida +9 at NC State: South Florida is 0-3 ATS and a lot worse on the road. NC STATE.

Illinois +14 at Penn St: Four straight blowouts for JoePa. Sorry, make it 5. PENN ST.

Idaho +23 at San Diego St: Utah State had lost 13 of its last 14 home games until playing Idaho. And, State won by 25! SD ST.

N. Texas +19 at Rice: The Owls will prefer North to Texas. RICE.


Broncos +9 at Chiefs: Denver’s defense has given up 70 points over the last two games. The Chiefs aren’t Chargers or Saints, but those teams didn’t get 9. CHIEFS.

Vikings +5 at Titans: Gus Frerotte may save the Vikes season. Titans playing a second straight home game. Letdown? VIKES.

Texans +7½ at Jaguars: Jags found their running game again. Texans are a mess. JAGUARS.

Packers +1½ at Bucs: Green Bay coming off Dallas loss. Griese threw 67 passes last week. Maybe he’ll only need 66 here. BUCS.

Cards +3 at Jets: Arizona played well at Washington, but still can’t climb that road mountain. But, the Cards are getting closer. CARDS.

Redskins +10 at Cowboys: No team in the strong NFC East should be given 10. The Redskins have covered their last 2. Make it 3. REDSKINS.

49ers +10 at Saints: You know New Orleans will score, but so will the Niners. OVER.
