ORLEANS SEEKS 10TH BOXING SELLOUT
Crown Boxing promoter Frank Luca is putting on a 10th card at the Orleans this Friday night. The nine previous ones were all sellouts with two more slated for Nov. 21 and Super Bowl weekend on Jan. 30. Ticket prices are $50 ringside, $25 reserve.
"The fights the Orleans have been extremely well received and we’re trying to negotiate for a fight of greater magnitude," Luca said. "It’s our hope to schedule a ranked fighter and a future Pay-Per-View deal at Orleans Arena. Our promos are getting bigger and better."
The main event, which will have a betting line, will be a junior welterweight bout between Victor Hugo Correa (8-0) of Mexico City and Jason Davis (10-1) of Seattle. Davis is trained by former IBF lightweight champ Greg Haugen. – MArk mayer
