Getting Rich with Saber by Richard Saber |

last week

There are more things I discovered this past week: Don’t bet on the Pats and definitely don’t lay double digits on anyone in the NFL.

This week, I like a lot of games:

SMU +16½ at Tulane: A Thursday special. SMU is 1-3 SU and 0-3ATS and not close to covering the points. The only win came against Texas State, 47-36. Tulane has an excellent defense and has a 3-0 ATS mark. TULANE.

Conn +3 at Louisville: A Friday treat. The Cardinals lost last year to Connecticut 21-17 and seek revenge. Should be a hard fought game. LOUISVILLE.

Virginia +6½ at Duke: Cavaliers 0-3 SU / 0-2 ATS and have no offense. Most they’ve scored is 16 against Richmond. The Blue Devils are 2-1 SU / 2-0 ATS and have their best shot at beating Virginia in nine years. DUKE.

N. Carolina +7 at Miami: Tar Heels could be reeling after blowing big game at home to Virginia Tech. The Hurricanes blew Texas A&M away and now seek revenge from last year’s loss to the Heels. MIAMI.

Ole Miss +23 at Florida: One Mississippi, I really don’t like laying all the wood, but the way the Gators defense is playing I think they can get the cover. Florida is 3-0 SU / ATS. It should continue. FLORIDA.

Miss St. +24 at LSU: Two Mississippi, but this time it is State. State just cannot score, have just one cover in last 10 meetings with LSU and lost 45-0 last year. LSU.

Purdue +2½ at ND: The Irish get a lot of national TV coverage for a lousy team. I wonder why they’re favored. Boilermakers off huge comeback win against a very good Central Michigan team. PURDUE.

Minn +17½ at Ohio St: Buckeyes have no covers so far and the Golden Gophers are 4-0 SU and 2-1 ATS. More than enough points to take in this spot. MINNESOTA.

Alabama +6 at Georgia: One of the best games this week, Georgia is the real deal, but the Tide can play with them. Should go down to the wire. ALABAMA.

Maryland +11½ at Clemson: Not sold on the Terrapins, which just beat Delaware and lost to Middle Tennessee. The Tigers look like they are back after Game 1 loss to Alabama. CLEMSON.

B. Green -3 at Wyoming: Boys just can’t put points on the scoreboard. Wyoming is 0-4 ATS. The visiting Falcons have been a traveling circus, beating Pitt on the road and losing only 20-7 at Boise on the blue carpet. BOWLING GREEN.

TCU +17½ at Oklahoma: Huge game for the Horned Frogs who are 4-0 SU and 3-0 ATS. No doubt about the Sooners offense, having scored 57, 52 and 55. But, TCU will score and hang in. TCU.

Kent St +17 at Ball St: As we said last week, Ball State is the real deal. The crushing of Indiana ran the season mark to 4-0 SU and 3-0 ATS. Not bad. BALL ST.

S. Florida -8 at NC State: Bulls are 4-0 SU, but 0-3 ATS. The Wolfpack have covered their last two against Clemson and East Carolina. NC STATE.

Illinois +13½ at Penn St: Nittany Lions have looked great against lesser, with wins of 66-10, 45-14, 55-13 and 45-3. JoePa looks for to revenge last year’s loss. PENN ST.

Nevada +3½ at UNLV: Rebels playing inspired ball, but don’t think they are able to beat a real team by more than 3. NEVADA.

Arkansas +27½ at Texas: The Razorbacks are one real bad team as they just did get by W. Illinois and Louisiana Monroe, while getting crushed last week at home against Alabama. TEXAS.

Broncos-Chiefs OVER 46

Vikes-Titans UNDER 36

FLASH: Steubenville Big Red roared to their 55th regular season win 42-7 over Beaver Local High.
