Chinois at the Forum Shops

Wolfgang Puck has more restaurants in town than Denny’s. An outgrowth of his famed Chinois in Santa Monica, California, Chinois is a kitschy cafe that serves Asian specialties that have been enhanced by Puck’s French and American influences. Among the house specialties is a marvelous Chinese chicken salad, whole roasted Shanghai lobster, fried rice and vegetables, dry fried string beans, pot stickers and dim sum. The restaurant’s exquisite decor includes rich jewel tones and features authentic Asian art from the collection of Barbara Lazaroff (Puck’s wife). In addition to the casual cafe, the restaurant has an upstairs dining room, which can be used for special events and private functions. Chinois (731-7110) is open for lunch and dinner, daily.
