OAK TREE @ SANTA ANITA

Race 1

No. 2 South Bay Scoty is 8/5 on the morning line and most likely will be odds on, his main threats are No. 3 Storm Brave who beat Scoty two races back when going wire to wire, he may make the lead today and if left alone look out. No. 6 Yankee Visionary is the other O’Neill in this race and is dropped to the price that he was claimed. 2-4-6

Race 2

No. 8 She’s Cheeky the fastest fillie in this field on paper but has hung in everyone of her five races, she is a must use in the exotics but very risky at a short price for the win. No. 2 Kenya Skye ran behind Cheeky in her first start but now gets the services of Gomez, so look for an improved effort. No. 3 Madame Striker was big steam off the layoff but never ran a step, Gomez gets off of her in favor of Kenya Skye but Rosario takes over for trainer Kathy Walsh and he has won four of his last six rides for Walsh who also but the blinkers on. No. 4 L’Aziza is a very interesting fillie as she actually broke her maiden at Churchill Downs but was DQ out of the money, this girl was hammered at the windows in both of her starts so she can run and Leparoux sticks. 4 with 2-3-8

Race 3

No. 8 Warren’s Lady Slew was thrown to the wolves off the claim and now comes back to reality for trainer Sadler. No. 12 Kiss the Cat won her first start at Santa Rosa when sent off at 8/5 for trainer Armando Lage who is one of Tommy Town’s main trainers, she now show up her in the Mike Mitchell barn so they must like what they say. No. 13 Gotham Glory also won her first start in a real gutsy performance at better then 23-1 at Fairplex. No. 10 Steam Iron also looks like she has a big say in here at 8/1, she gets Solis back on and he looks like he wants to ride. This will start the pick six carryover of $138,411, we are using only the 8-12 but will play some exotics also.

Key Play

$1 exacta box 8-10-12-13 for $12

$.10 superbox 7-8-10-12-13 for $12

Race 4

No. 11 Billie Bob will set sail in here and may be gone before the others know what happened. No. 13 Sierra Nostra is a Paulo Lobo comebacker that looks very live with bug boy Maier in the irons. 11-13

Race 5

Usually try to stay outside in these 6 ½ turf sprints down the hill but cant find any that look worthy except also eligible No Ka OI who has a win on this layout, if she gets in we will use her. No. 1 Simply Run is a win machine and has six wins from eleven turf races, jockey Bejarano was on for her last win a six furlong turf sprint at Hollywood. No. 4 Carrie With a C is another win machine and she tries the green for the first time. 1-4-(11)

Race 6

No. 3 Quisisana looks to fast for this crew and has a perfect style as she can stalk and pounce, we will single in the pick six. NO. 3

Race 7

No. 1 Nownownow will get a great rail trip in this flat mile turf race, all he needs to do is get a clear run down the stretch. No. 2 Moral Compass gets Gomez back on board and he ran right with nownownow in the LaJolla Handicap, they could finish one two. 1-2

Race 8

No. 1 Midnight Corredor has high speed and the drop into this 25k maiden claimer may just do the trick but here are others that will offer some big value and there is a $73,6400 high five carryover. No. 3 In Session exits our HTW list and just may be sitting on a big effort at 8/1. No. 6 Standing Posse 15/1 also has a shot as does No. 14 El Senor Halo 12/1 but this race just could be in Gods hands as NO. 11 Its in God’s Hands who was sent off at even money in his first start at Fairplex for trainer Peter Miller just may give Pedroza his first win at the meet. No. 4 Arabian Cheetah has the numbers to run with these but jockey Iggy Puglisi just never wins.
