Industry pioneer and worldwide leader in automated poker
tables and related software, PokerTek, unveiled the first 100 percent PokerPro
room in Indiana at French Lick Resort Casino in French Lick last month. The resort, located on the Indiana-Kentucky border near
Louisville, offers 42,000 square feet of gaming floor space, a newly expanded
non-smoking gaming area of 9,500 square feet, 1,335 slot machines, 38 table
games and three PokerPro tables. "PokerPro is a great fit for our casino," said Dale
Nachreiner, Director of Table games at French Lick Resort Casino. "Our goal was to create an environment that attracts
poker enthusiast, of all skill levels as an addition to being a full-service
destination resort. "These tables are fun, are interactive, allowing us to
offer live poker in our newly expanded non-smoking venue with a reduced
rake," Nachreiner added. "PokerPro has also created opportunities for employees
that have previously dealt only poker on a full-time basis, to work in an
expanded live table area without displacement of any positions." The fully automated poker room is the first of its kind in
the Hoosier State. Considered the prime destination resort in southern Indiana,
French Lick Resort Casino also offers live entertainment, two golf course, and
two historic hotels, the French Lick Springs Hotel and the West Baden Springs
Hotel. Legalized gambling returned to Springs Valley on Nov. 3, 2006
for the first time since 1949. For more information about the PokerTek’s PokerPro product,
