#1 Oklahoma (-6) vs. #5 Texas: Although Texas is 3-0 ATS its L3 against the Sooners, the lean here is with OU which has a plethora of talented skill players who can score, while Texas just doesn’t click on offense as easily. In an important game like this – the "Red River Shootout" – I’m taking the better team in my opinion. OKLAHOMA.

#14 Utah (-24) at Wyoming: Another one in which I’m going into the teeth of a trend as the Cowboys have covered three straight in Laramie, but the side is Utah, which is still in the hunt in the MWC and eyeing its 11/22 game at BYU. Wyoming has failed to cover in its last 15 games, going an abysmal 0-15-1 ATS, and is 0-6 against the number to start 2008. UTAH. (BE$T BET)

Oklahoma State at #3 Missouri (-14): The Tigers are doing nothing wrong. Mizzou has scored on every first possession this year, has not had a three-and-out and QB and Heisman candidate Chase Daniel has one of the highest completion percentages in the FBS. The Tigers are also 5-1 ATS their last five against OSU. The Cowboys early schedule has been pretty easy as dates with Washington State, Missouri State and Texas A&M reveal. MISSOURI. (BE$T BET).

Arkansas at #20 Auburn (-19): The Razorbacks have been outscored 139-31 in their L3, but their opponents were Alabama, Florida and Texas. Auburn was upset by No. 13 Vanderbilt and will have a chip on its shoulder. The Tigers are 4-1 ATS in their L5 vs Arkansas but just 1-3 in the L4 at Auburn. AUBURN.

New Mexico at #9 BYU (-24): It was a tale of four quarters last week against Utah St. as the Cougars played great for the first three quarters (34-0), and then succumbed to a game Aggies squad in the fourth quarter (0-14). BYU has the nation’s longest winning streak (15) and will be in a foul mood considering Coach Mendenhall will be yelling at them from Monday through Friday about their lax effort in the end against their intrastate foes.

The FIRST HALF (-14) line with BYU should work and covering the game is also expected. Note: The last three meetings have gone over. BYU.

Washington State at Oregon State (-29): The Cougars have been outscored in Pac-10 play 157-20 so far and the Beavers have already knocked off the No. 1 (USC) team in the land. This one’s going to get ugly early so lay the points in the FIRST HALF as OSU and its superior cast of athletes (Jacquez Rogers and Sammie Stroughter) should score between 50-60 points. So ask yourself, ‘How many points do you think the Cougars can muster?’ Note: The Beavers are 7-1 ATS their L8 against WSU. OREGON STATE. (BE$T BET)

UL-Monroe at Arkansas State (-10) (Added Game): Yet another trend I’m going into the teeth of: The Warhawks are 3-0 ATS their L3 against Arkansas State but it’s about time to start betting against them. The Red Wolves – does anyone know that’s their nickname? – are fighting with Troy State for supremacy in the Sun Belt and have possibly their best squad ever. ARKANSAS STATE.

UL-Lafayette (-20) at North Texas: No. 1 with a bullet in my "Rats 11 List," (see below) the Mean Green – more like the Lean Green – have yet to cover this year and give up points like a WNBA team. I researched and found that ULL’s previous highest point spread as favorite was 9 (2005, FIU) so this is truly new territory for them – as well as a reflection of how friggin bad North Texas is. Let’s lay the lumber like we worked for Home Depot baby. UL-LAFAYETTE.

1-North Texas (1)

2-Washington State (5)

3-Idaho (3)

4-Wyoming (-)

5-Syracuse (7)

6-Washington (-)

7-Arkansas (10)

9-UL-Monroe (6)

10-Eastern Michigan (2)

>Off the list: Utah State (4), Marshall (8), Virginia (9) and Hawai’i (11).
