Tabbed as a Pointspread Power Play by Marc Lawrence in his 2008 Playbook, Wyoming (2-4 SU, 0-5 ATS) has been anything but impressive this season – the same as it was to close 2007 with seven straight losses ATS.
With 3 points in three MWC games (outscored 91-3), the Cowboys are in dire need of a spur-sharpening, but their 3-0 ATS the L3 against Utah (6-0, 2-2-1) in Laramie provides some hope for dog backers in this one as does a seven-game run ATS for the host here.
The Utes (37.2-21.0 PPG) are led by QB Brian Johnson – he left his gig with AC/DC? – are on a mission to collide with BYU in the Holy War in late November. Utah clicks on offense (409 YPG) and is solid on defense (260.5 YPG) so scoring against a deflated Wyoming squad – 0-13-1 ATS L14 ATS – should come easy. The FIRST HALF is also worth a look. UTAH -23½. (Buy the ½ if you can).
