Rays -115 vs Red Sox (7½)

Red Sox manager Terry Francona took some heat from the Boston media for starting Daisuke Matsuzaka in the opener and not Josh Beckett. Well, Terry knew what he was doing. Boston won 2-0 behind Dice K and now sends Beckett to the hill with a little less pressure. Josh has not been his usual self, which is why he didn’t get the nod in Game 1.

The Rays send lefty Scott Kazmir, who also has not been his best over the course of the season. Kazmir has had problems getting past six innings, so expect the Tampa Bay bullpen to play a major role. So far the pen has been a major strength. In a game the Rays can’t afford to lose, look for them to bounce back and send the series to Boston all even. RAYS.
