OAK TREE @ SANTA ANITA

Race 1

Santa Anita has carded some more lousy races starting with this one $12,500 claimers non winners of two races going 1 1/16. No. 2 Bodacat will be putting in his late run and this is his best distance. No. Gourageous Captain has a lot of long shot potential. 2-4

Race 2

There are only five signed on to run in this race with the favorite listed at 7/5 and the second choice at 8/5 in what looks to be a non beatable race we will go with No. 4 Prince Rexy who just may get a good pace to put in his late run. 4

Race 3

No. 7 Gobbler’s Knob exits our HTW list, he is a seventeen time loser but may finally fine that elusive win #1 today. NO. 2 Hidden Trail looks to be sitting on the maiden breaker. No. 5 Lower Street had a sharp workout on October 11 and will like the added distance. 2-5-7

Race 4

No. 4 Eisenheim has been nibbling but now gets Gomez and that could do it today. No. 7 Ksar Ghilane is on the improve and will try and dictate the pace. No. 9 Top Gone gets a turn back in distance and looks like a good longshot play. 4-7-9

Race 5

Just another six horse field and the question is which one of the top four choices will win, it is between 1-3-5-6, we will take our shot with No. 3 Bad Big Al who will be sitting off the speed and pounce. 3

Race 6

No. 6 Thelma Rose has a big shot at giving trainer Caesar Dominquez his fist win of the meet and the price will be right. No. 9 Beencaughtcheating exits the same race and is the one Thelma will have to beat. 6-9

Race 7

Just another six horse field with the early scratch of No. 6, we will side with No. 2 Kewen who has excelled here at this distance on the grass and No. 5 One On The House who has won three of four at this mile distance. 2-5

Race 8

No. 3 Fortunate Victory is a comebacker who has run some fast races in the past and finds a field he may be able to beat. No. 5 Afleet Bud needs to improve for the win but will run better today in his second start off the layoff. No. 8 Concinnity has a lot of long shot potential. No. 9 Legend Of My Own, No. 10 Orientation Hall and No. 11 Midnight Corredor all look to have a shot in this wide open race, we will use all in the late pick three. 3-5-8-9-10-11
