Denver Broncos at New England Patriots (-3, 47½, Las Vegas Hilton SuperBook): Inspiring is not a word used in one’s vocabulary when talking about the quarterback play of the Patriots’ Matt Cassell. And whether you’re pulling for him, playing with him or betting against him it’s the same brutal reality: expect nothing.
The Patriots’, truly hamstrung by the injury to star signal-caller Tom Brady, have not responded well to their main man going down, and at 3-2 SU, (2-3 ATS), one could argue that this is a pretty important game for NE.
With all that pressure on its sagging offense, NE will expect a great deal from its defensive unit to keep it in this game against a Broncos (4-2, 1-4-1 ATS) team that has played much better this season, but only churned the butter (got the money) once.
Trend players know that every single MNF game has gone over the total and I am a heavy trend player. But asking these two teams to get over the hump at 47½ is quite a bit so I am actually going to suggest taking under the total in this tilt. UNDER 47½.
