Industry’s prime movers and shakers top the bill for October’s G2E show

Directors of the American Gaming Association will join other gaming executives as speakers at the first Global Gaming Expo (G2E) to be held Oct 1-3 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

This is the first trade show and conference to be staged by industry operators and suppliers.

Participating in keynotes and panel discussions will be Bill Boyd, chairman of Boyd Gaming; Don Carano, CEO of the Eldorado Hotel & Casino in Reno; Tom Gallagher, president and CEO of Park Place Entertainment; Terry Lanni, chairman and CEO of MGM MIRAGE; Chuck Mathewson, chairman of International Game Technology; William Newby, managing director of Bank of America; Larry Ruvo, senior managing director of Southern Wine & Spirits of Nevada; Phil Satre, chairman and CEO of Harrah’s Entertainment; Glenn Schaeffer, president and CFO of Mandalay Resort Group; and Dave Thompson, chairman and CEO of Mikohn Gaming Corp.

Other participants lined up by Frank Fahrenkopf Jr., president and CEO of the American Gaming Association, are Don Snyder, president of Boyd Gaming and Des Randall, CEO of Aristocrat.

"G2E has pulled together outstanding advisory committees comprised of leaders in the gaming-entertainment industry who have put together a conference agenda that is geared to our needs," Gallagher said.
