Leroy’s Race & Sports Books have always been on the cutting edge when it comes to giving the public something new when it comes to sports gambling whether it’s offering new locations, betting kiosks or contests for the serious handicapper like their famous Pro Challenge, College Challenge and Money Talks Invitational.

Now Leroy’s has unveiled a new Three ‘N’ Out contest which will give entrants a chance to make one weekly NFL selection – from all sides and totals. Contestants will get a total of three losses throughout the duration of the contest before being eliminated. The entry fee is $25 and up to five entries will be permitted per contestant.

John Salerno, Sports Book Director of Leroy’s, said the idea came from a pretty good source – his dad – Vic Salerno who has been president and CEO of Leroy’s since 1979.

"He [his dad] came up with it out of the blue and said, ‘Why don’t we do a mid-season football contest?’" John Salerno revealed. "The Stations [Casinos] had their Last Man Standing contest going and that ended and there seemed to be a hole in the market out there. And we figure with all the hoopla in the beginning of the season a lot of contests seem to get lost."

The contest has a 100 percent payback and could last all the way to the Super Bowl should one or more contestant still be alive. If two or more contestants still alive at that point, Salerno said "we will then split the pot evenly."

The contest begins this Sunday with Week 9 of the NFL season and the sign-up deadline is 9 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1. Interested parties can go to any one of the more than 61 Leroy’s locations across the Silver State and enter.
