Bobcats -3 vs Heat (191)
It’s arguable that the wrong team is favored. Miami comes in off a 103-76 blowout win at home over Sacramento last night. The victory lifted the Heat to 1-1, already better than all last season when Miami never reached the .500 level. Dwyane Wade hasn’t missed a beat since the Olympics, leading Miami in scoring both games.
The Heat have received a big lift early on from prized rookies Michael Beasley, Mario Chalmers and Daequan Cook. Beasley had a career high 17 in the victory over the Kings.
Charlotte is a team in turmoil. Michael Jordan is a hands-off owner and the team is thin in talent. The Bobcats opened the season with a paltry 79-point effort at Cleveland where Charlotte fell by 17. Miami scored 41 points off turnovers in its win over Sacramento and is likely to get a lot of free baskets here. Take the points. HEAT.
