Station Casinos is hoping "11" is indeed its lucky number as they open Aliante Station, their eleventh hotel/casino, on Nov. 11 at 11:11 p.m.

Preceding the opening will be an 11-minute fireworks display, set to begin at, oddly enough (or enough odds!), at 10 p.m.

The latest in the Station family of "locals" oriented casinos is a $662 million effort located at the corner of the North 215 Beltway and Aliante Parkway in North Las Vegas.

Like the Red Rock Casino in Summerlin, Aliante Station follows an upscale, Southwest motif with lots of stone veneer, muted earth tones and crystal adornments.

The hotel features 202 guest rooms, each equipped with creature comforts such as flat screen TVs, CD players, iPod hook-ups, mini-bars and wireless Internet connections.

Like other Station resorts, Aliante will offer a wide variety of dining and entertainment options, including six restaurants and a food court, 16-screen movie theater, a 600-seat concert and showroom venue, and 14,000 square feet of meeting and banquet space.

The sprawling casino has more than 2,500 slot machines, heavily weighted toward locals, favorites such as video poker and video keno, as well as the latest bonus/high-tech games.

There will also be 40 "live" table games, a 12-table poker room and complete race and sports book.

Aliante Station is a 50-50 venture between Station Casinos and the Greenspun Corporation, which is the developer of Aliante, a planned community.
