Titans -3 at Bears (37½)

Mention the Chicago Bears and you think Monsters of the Midway and hard-hitting, tough defense. Well not so much through eight games. The 37½ projected total in this matchup has been exceeded in seven of the eight games Chicago has played, including a 48-42 shootout with Minnesota two weeks ago. However, that was with Kyle Orton at QB and his injured ankle turns the starting job today over to Rex Grossman.

The Bears would figure to be more conservative with Grossman against the NFL’s top defensive team. Tennessee is allowing just over 12 points a game and likes to play a physical style under former Bears player Jeff Fisher. QB Kerry Collins has been effective by managing the game and allowing the opportunistic Titans defense to provide good field position and scoring chances. The weather also suggests a low score with a game time temperature of 40 degrees, overcast skies with possible light rain and winds up to 20 mph. UNDER.
