Cincinnati Bearcats at Louisville Cardinals
Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium, Louisville, Kentucky
WEATHER: (502) 969-8842
Cinicinnati Bearcats (-3½, 47½, Las Vegas Hilton SuperBook) at Louisville Cardinals: It’s the 48th annual battle for the Keg of Nails here, a series that’s been dominated by Louisville (5-4, 4-4 ATS) of late, winners of this cross-river rivalry since 2002. The Cardinals are 8-2 ATS the last 10 in this Big East match-up and have a solid rushing game thanks in great part to red-shirt freshman Victor Anderson (913 rushing yards).
Cincinnati (7-2, 4-4 ATS), which already has victories against two ranked teams this season (South Florida, West Virginia last week), is led by QB Tony Pike (10 TD passes) and WR Dominick Goodman (668 receiving yards, 5 TDs) and has won five of its last six games.
Louisville, led by QB Hunter Cantwell (1,743 passing yards, 13 TDs) is still seeking one more win to become bowl eligible, but the way this team has played this season leaves a lot to be desired. Edge Bearcats, who are feeling pretty good about themselves after last week’s 26-23 overtime victory at West Virginia and should be motivated to win here as they are still in the picture for the Big East’s BCS bid. CINCINNATI -3½.
