Martini lovers of Las Vegas have a new hot spot as the El Cortez Hotel & Casino introduces "Martini Madness," its new daily happy hour from 5 to 7 p.m.

The new special offers a 2-for-1 deal for drinks on the El Cortez’s martini menu and is available at all bars throughout the property. All martinis regularly cost $7, including the all new Cabana "Sweets" martini, which is the signature drink of El Cortez’s new Cabana Suites (opening in early 2009.)

The Cabana Suites’ $6.3 million interior and exterior renovations will transform the free-standing tower into a boutique hotel featuring designs reminiscent of the 1950s. Cabana Suites will feature 64 rooms, including mini suites and super suites, an expanded entrance lobby, enhanced fitness center and a landscaped walkway providing convenient access from the tower to the El Cortez.

Las Vegas locals can enjoy a special promotion when they see Steve Wyrick at his namesake theater inside the Miracle Mile Shops at the Planet Hollywood Casino on the Strip now through Jan. 4, 2009.

Premium show tickets are selling for half-price at just $46 (regularly $92) when showing a valid Nevada driver’s license at the box office.

The offer is not valid for the special New Year’s Eve show on Dec. 31 and no children under the age of 3 are allowed in the showroom. Shows run every night at 7 and 9 p.m., except Fridays. The show will be open Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.

Now through Sunday, Nov. 30, LBS: A Burger Joint, located inside Red Rock Casino, Resort & Spa is offering a big, tasty "thank you" to the Las Vegas Valley’s "First Responders." To honor all fire, police, EMT, paramedic and emergency service workers, LBS is offering a free appetizer with the purchase of any burger. First responders just need to show their badge or ID to receive this special thank you offer.

"Fuego Raw Talent," the new high-energy show at the Sahara is tapping into the social media market by offering students a complimentary ticket to the show in exchange for their opinion now through Dec. 31.

Students just have to present their student ID card to the Sahara box office and agree to write about their experience at the show through online blogs, newsletters and social media websites.

Call the Sahara Hotel & Casino box office at 702-737-2515 for more information about the offer.
