NFL Thursday Night Football
New Orleans Saints at Chicago Bears -3
Tonight’s game is a key match-up for both teams, who need to win out for a chance to make the playoffs. The Saints field the league’s most prolific offense, which averages more than 405 yards and 28 points per game. Saints quarterback Drew Brees is enjoying a stellar campaign, and has a shot at setting the NFL record for passing yards in a season. He might have a shot at doing it versus Chicago’s 28th ranked pass defense. However, the Saints’ defense has been vulnerable at times this season, especially on the road. New Orleans is giving up 25 points and nearly 350 yards on defense, and their 1-5 road record is worst among all teams with a winning record. Moreover, the Saints have done poorly when visiting Chicago this late in the season – they’ve lost their last two trips here, where the temperature is expected to be in the teens tonight. With its physical defense and pounding rushing attack, the Bears should pull out a tightly-contest game tonight. Chicago -3.
