The Insider by Ray Poirier | Butler National Corporation (BUKS) has conducted the official groundbreaking for the Boot Hill Casino and Resort, the first casino management contract awarded by the Kansas Lottery Commission.

PokerTek Inc. (PTEK) has installed its PokerPro gambling table on the Norwegian Pearl of the Norwegian Cruise Line. The company said its goal is to place the tables on all 11 of the company’s cruise ships.

The Silver Club casino in Sparks, Nevada, will close on Jan. 10, 2009. The operators said a proposed sale fell through because the buyers could not arrange the financing.
