If it wasn't for betting, I'd say Aloha to the Bowl

I guess you can’t really blame the Hawaii Bowl folks for booking the 6-6 Irish against the host Rainbows to get a full house at Aloha Stadium.

If it wasn’t for betting, I would say aloha to watching it. Thankfully, there are better matchups.

TCU -3 vs Boise State (46): A matchup better than some of the BCS Bowls. Boise has been stellar on defense, which is TCU’s strength. UNDER.

Notre Dame -1½ vs Hawaii (48): Really neither team belongs. So there should be scoring. OVER.

Fla Atlantic +6 at C. Mich (65): FAU rediscovered its passing attack. Central Michigan has had one all year. Could be a shootout. OVER.

West Virginia -1 vs UNC (45): Having the game in Charlotte is big for the Tar Heels and Butch Davis has an edge in coaching matchup. UNC.

Wisconsin +5 at Florida St (52): Even though the venue is Orlando, Wisconsin fans travel well and should be motivated here. WISCONSIN.

Miami +8 at Cal (50): Similar to Champs in that Berkeley is close to Frisco. But I hear Miami is treating this as the start to 2009, off a second straight top recruiting class. MIAMI.

No. Illinois PK vs La Tech (47): Tech finished strong and the game is in nearby Shreveport. LA TECH.

NC State +7 vs Rutgers (54): Both were bet-on teams down the stretch. We hope they both put on a scoring display. OVER.

N’western +12½ vs Missouri (65½): I think Missouri is definitely the better team, but all the motivation is with the Wildcats. N’WESTERN.

Titans -3 at Colts: Even though Tennessee is No. 1 seed in AFC, the wrong side is favored. Colts have won eight straight and get Titans off big win over Pittsburgh. COLTS.

Redskins +3 at Niners: Jason Campbell just doesn’t produce points for the Skins. Niners will win finale for Singletary. 49ERS.

Browns at Steelers: The Browns haven’t scored an offensive TD since Reagan was president. UNDER.

Patriots -6 at Bills: Nobody wants to play the Patriots in the playoffs, but the Bills with Trent Edwards have not conceded the season. BILLS.

Raiders +13 at Bucs: Al Davis has his shot at sticking it to Gruden. And Tampa Bay is sliding. RAIDERS.

Broncos +9 at Chargers (50): I see another shootout just like the first meeting in Denver. OVER.
