Jazz +9 at Rockets (192)
Two evenly matched teams carry records about where you figure they would be just more than 30 games into the 82-game NBA season. Utah improved to 18-13 with a character win last night by 9 over Dallas despite the absence of Paul Millsaps, Carlos Boozer and Mehmet Okur. Millsaps and Boozer will again miss the Houston game with injuries, while Okur is a game time decision. Still Utah prevailed on the strength of one of the NBA’s top benches as Ronnie Brewer and rookie Kosta Koufos combined for 39 points. All Star guard Deron Williams was "probable" for the Dallas game and contributed 17 points.
Houston fell to 15-15 with its second straight loss, a 9-point road loss to New Orleans last night. The Rockets have only managed 79 and 90 points in their past two games and top scorer Tracy McGrady scored just 11 points. McGrady said after the game that he is still not 100 percent following knee surgery. With both teams not at their best physically, you would expect a low-scoring contest. It has been 13 games since Utah has lost by more than 9. We’ll recommend a parlay and hope for the best. JAZZ/UNDER.
