Mark Lipparelli named to the Nevada Gaming Board

Mark Lipparelli, a former employee of the Nevada Gaming Board who spent a number of years in executive positions with gaming companies, has been named to the gaming board position being vacated by Mark Clayton.

The appointment was made last week by Gov. Jim Gibbons.

Lipparelli, who lives in Las Vegas, has been operating his own technology development company. He previously held executive positions with Bally Technologies Inc. (BYI) and Shuffle Master Inc. (SHFL).

At International Game Technology (IGT), Patrick Cavanaugh was promoted to the position of executive vice president and chief financial officer. He has been with the company since 2004.

Also at IGT, Rich Schneider was appointed executive vice president of product strategy. He joined the company in 2004 as president of IGT Systems and has served as executive vice p
