NHL

11:05 a.m. at Nassau Coliseum

Capitals +260 at NY Islanders (6)

Not many teams would be this heavily-favored on the road, but then they don’t play the New York Islanders every day. The Islanders have completely collapsed over the past month, winning just two of their last 21 games to stand with a league low 28 points. The Isles are currently on a seven-game losing streak and have not scored more than two goals in any of their past five outings.

On the other hand, the Washington Capitals have been one of the league’s hottest teams over the same period. The Caps went on a 12-1 tear, dropped three in a row and now have won two straight. They own the game’s most prolific goal scorer in Alexander Ovechkin, who might outscore the Isles by himself. Washington won the previous meeting 5-2 as a -165 favorite. CAPITALS.
