Oregon +13½ at California (146)
The good news for the Cal Bears after two straight losses is that Oregon is coming to town. California had been on a 7-0-1 streak against the spread, but then came losses to the Stanford Cardinal and Oregon State. The loss to the Beavers was especially bitter considering the Bears were a 17½-point favorite. But then OSU coach Craig Robinson is Barack Obama’s brother-in-law and that family is pretty hot right now.
So the Bears have a chance to bounce back big against a band of Ducks, who have lost all seven of their Pac 10 games. The closest Oregon has come to winning was an 11-point setback to UCLA. That result was their only cover in league play. Oregon doesn’t light it up offensively, having been held in the 50s three times and in the 60s three times. Stanford took Oregon to the woodshed early last Thursday and we hope Cal does the same tonight. CALIFORNIA.
