Yale +2 at Columbia (127½)
We think the wrong team is favored. Yale comes into the game on a five-game winning streak including a sweep of Brown to open the Ivy League season. Columbia has lost five of its last six, including a pair to Cornell. Only two (Cornell and Harvard) of the eight Ivy League teams have winning records which tells you that Penn and Princeton no longer dominate this league.
Though just 7-9 on the season, the visiting Bulldogs have defeated Oregon State by 1, lost to Stanford by 8 and lost to Alabama by 3. Columbia’s most noteworthy nonconference results were a 12-point loss to Virginia Tech and a 21-point loss to Seton Hall. The Lions are just 3-5 at home so we feel comfortable getting points with perhaps the better team. YALE.
