ACRONYM: Was exiting our HTW list and let go at the windows at 5-1. This was a good thing for the followers as this girl rallied to the front with just a tap of the whip. Was confidently handled late and looked like she could go around again.
FIRE WOOD: Came from last to second in this 32K claimer. Figures to be a good claim by Mike Mitchell who also retained a piece for himself. Look for him to spot this guy perfectly and get a quick return on his investment.
DEGREE OF POWER: First-time starter made a big late run, but had no shot at getting to the runaway lone speed. Has the look of a horse that wants to go longer. If stretched out in next start, dig deep and go to the betting window. $$$
BROUGHT IT: Lost this race at the start as she is usually on or close to the lead. This time broke in the air at the start and was dead last. She made a four-wide run down the lane and was just flying late to just miss by a head. $$$$$
TALKTOOMUCH: This 10K claimer was completely overlooked at the windows and sent off at 33-1. She won like a 2-1 and could move on and repeat at another good price.
LARRYLARRYLARRY: Has changed his running style from a front runner to a closer and has done much better since just missing in his last by a half length. This guy is sitting on the maiden breaker with his new running style.
SCANDALOUS: Was one of four heads on the wire. He battled tooth and nail the entire race, but just could not hold off the late closers. Was claimed out of this effort by Jerry Hollendorfer so look for him in the winner’s circle first time out.
GOLDEN GATE FIELDS
TELEPATHIC: Woke up big time in this race in destroying the field. This one will move up and repeat.
BIG ARCH: Bottom level maiden ran his best race despite trouble. He was just full of run late and looks to be coming around.
BIEN AMOUR: Was four-wide on the first turn and climbing while widest off all. She looked to be making a big move, but was in tight and had to check. She got going wide once again and came on for the place in what was an amazing effort.
BUNNY AT THE LAKE: Broke her maiden for fun while not being asked. If spotted correctly by her trainer she could repeat.
