Rutgers +16 at Georgetown (130½)
Georgetown has slumped to 12-8 overall following five straight losses, including an 0-4-1 mark against the number during that slide. For the most part, the Hoyas have played the upper echelon of the Big East. However, in those five setbacks were defeats to Seton Hall and Cincinnati. Georgetown also lost in league play to Notre Dame, ranked lower than the Hoyas in overall record.
As for Rutgers, it’s been a long season for a school really up against it in this power laden conference. The Scarlet Knights do enter the game on a positive note, having snapped a nine-game losing streak with a 75-56 victory over South Florida. While we don’t expect Rutgers to pull the upset, it’s really hard to back Georgetown laying 16. One has to question Georgetown’s focus facing a 10-12 team. RUTGERS.
