BRAZIL ‘GOLDEN’ CHOICE IN CUP
The Golden Nugget has opened Brazil as a 3-1 favorite to capture the 2010 World Cup soccer event in South Africa. Brazil is 1 of 7 nations to have won the Cup since 1930 and its 5 titles is tops.
Argentina is second choice at 4-1, with Italy, England and Germany all at 8-1. France, finalists in 2 of the last 3 Cup tourneys, is 10-1 along with Netherlands. USA, whose best finish was third in 1930, is 50-1 along with host South Africa.
PADDY WARMING AT 15-1
Padraig Harrington off a final round 68 last week, is a 15-1 shot to win the AT&T at Pebble Beach. Harrington was 2008 Player of the Year as British Open and PGA champion. Actually, Paddy is third choice behind co-favorites Phil Mickelson and Vijay Singh (12-1, Las Vegas Hilton).
