UTAHN: Is in top form and now will go from a low profile barn to the one of Jerry Hollendorfer off the 25K claim. Mr. H got this guy for one of his top clients and also retained part ownership. You won’t see 9-1 next time, but may find this guy in the winner’s circle. He will also receive a big rider upgrade.

SWEET THOUGHTS: First-time starter was just hammered at the windows going off at 7-5. As luck would have it, she hopped at the start and was far back. ST did make a little late run to split the field. We will give her a big shot to redeem in next start.

OUR MAN LUKE: Was racing in the back of the pack in this 40K maiden claimer going a flat mile. He then swung four wide into the stretch and came flying home for the place. This is another who was claimed by Hollendorfer for 40K and he also retained part ownership. Look for a quick return on the investment as this guy will also get a big rider upgrade.

SLAM DUNK: Euro invader was making his first start in the States. Jockey Rafael Bejarano had him all over the track and just did miss the place. There looks to be some ability here. He’s one to watch in his next start.

MAJOR GENERAL: Came from Belmont Park and landed in the Mike Mitchell barn. The jock rode this guy like he knew he could go by them at any time. This one looks like he can go long on the grass. May just be an up and comer for Mitchell. $$$

RIVER SPEY: First-time starter just did miss the place despite encountering some trouble down the lane. She has some run and will not be a maiden for long.

KENTUCKY NECTAR: Was one of two first-time starters for Doug O’Neill in this maiden race. She was the one they bet going off at 2-1, but the girl they did not wager won at 10-1, it will be her turn next time.

JOINT AGREEMENT: Ran huge, but just could not get to the lone speed late in missing by a head. She was almost six lengths clear of the rest and looks like a single next time out.

LUPITA’SLUCKYANGEL: Woke up big time going a flat mile as she just stormed home to win going away with a ton left in the tank. She will repeat.

IRISH HARMONY: Was exiting our HTW list and just destroyed this bunch. This guy seems to have found himself and could be able to move up and beat winners.

CASCADE CRUISER: First-time starter looked up against it as he was being pitted against the odds-on Heroism out of the Greg Gilchrist barn. Heroism shot right to the front to get a very easy three-length lead, Cascade Cruiser chased wide and was gaining at the wire with every stride. Next time. $$$$$

BODACAT: Shipped in from Santa Anita by Robert Hess and was dropped into this cheap claimer. He won for fun and Hess may have gotten away with one since there were no claims. Look for the move up and another score for Hess and the horse. $$$$$
